The 2009 Sacramento International Auto Show, presented by the Central Valley New Car Dealers Association and produced by Castle Communications, will showcase literally hundreds of upcoming 2010 vehicles. The show is scheduled for 12-15 November 2009, Friday through Sunday, at Cal Expo Buildings A, B, C, D, Pavilion & Auto Show Annex, All Buildings, at Sacramento, California. Partners of the show include California Highway Patrol (CHP), the Golden 1 Credit Union, Sierra College, Professional Automotive Training Center (PATC), American River College (ARC), and Cosumnes River College (CRC).

There are attractions galore at the show, including but not limited to display of hundreds of 2010 vehicles in a non-selling environment. In addition, there are on-site rides and drives, of Chevrolet (Chevy lovers – take note!) and Ford vehicles in particular. The future of automotives – hybrids and fuel cell vehicles would also be on display at the show, in addition to various other alternative fuel transportation modes. The fun does not stop there – you can be privy to race cars, street rods, hot rods, horseless carriages, art cars. The kids too can expect to have a roar of a time, with a kid’s time out play area, specially designated for them.

Chevy lovers would be delighted to witness the all new 2010 Chevrolet Camaro on display, as one of the featured models of the show. Other featured models at the 2009 Sacramento International Auto Show would include (in alphabetical order) the Acura MDX, Buick Lacrosse, Cadillac SRX, Chrysler Sebring, Dodge, Ford Taurus, GMC Terrain, Honda CRV, Hyundai Genesis Coupe, Infiniti, Jeep, Kia, Lexus RX350, Lincoln MKT, Mazda 3, Mercury Milan Hybrid, Nissan, Scion XD, Subaru Legacy, and the Toyota Camry.

Alternative vehicles at the show would include the 2010 Can-am Spyder RS as well as the 2010 Can-am Spyder RT-S. Golf carts from Gilchrist would also be a special attraction at the show. Incidentally, Gilchrist Golf Cars (Know more about the company here) offers a significant variety of used golf carts, custom golf carts, new electric vehicles, and golf cart rentals in the Sacramento, Roseville, Lincoln and Gold Country areas. Lastly, on display among alternative vehicles, would be scooters of various kinds.

Tickets to the show are easily available at the door, for a mere $10 for adults. Children 12 and under would be admitted free of charge on Friday and Saturday. With Sunday being Family Day, along with a parent’s paid admission, children under 16 would be admitted free.

Incidentally, all auto lovers would be delighted to know that the Sacramento International Auto Show is in fact one of Sacramento’s largest charity events; till date, it has generated over $1.8 million towards numerous children and education specific causes.
